Some feedback
Hey guys! I prefer the first formation..And with Zarir keeper I'm considering that we should put Hatta as right wing, with abu and ahmad striker..Abu works behind ahmad la.. somehow I don't think our defence is ready for a 3-5-2. We're not that advanced yet, maybe after a couple of games and greater understanding..or when we're down then we can consider it. Its also cos we don't have an all an out DM to help the 3 defenders..we're wasting Adil to come down to tackle when we need to use more of his M. Carrick style range of passing.. Also cos I noticed the second formation the two wingers, in the 3-5-2 are not the type who's gonna come down...
Anyway some feedback from my point of view..
GOALKEEPER
No need to say la, we all saw what happened. No point putting someone reluctant to be keeper.
DEFENCE
I thought the defence played well first half. Only occasionally the wing backs are guilty of overplaying and not clearing with the needed urgency.
The second half is a different matter man...Somehow we cannot take their counter attacks. This is a serious problem. Basically cos the same 3 or 2 people at the back are going after the same striker. It should be one go after him, the other cover like sweeper. Just shadow also can, the purpose of defending a counter attack is not to tackle and win back possession, its to delay so everybody can get back into position..ANd its a bit of a mistake in bringing Ash up, next time he stays back in corners. I'm also guilty of not sprinting back into position. Basically the key word is COVER. Like one of the goals, Mamat made a mistake Ash should have been closer and covered him but it was too late. And Huzer needs to watch out for opponents behind his back, cos it doesn't make sense as they're behind him plus they're faster then him. But I think the defence is shaping up well..should have better understanding with every game. RUSTY is the word now.
MIDFIELD
I thought Dedi played well initially...but I also thought he overplayed too much with the dribbling as the game goes on. We have to play smart. We're unfit and rusty, so must pace ourselves. INstead of dribbling all the time, should cross more for ahmad, or play Hatta more, who was drifting wide. Then once in a while put a sudden burst of dribbling...Then u wun be too tired to help our the left back, and better still can last the whole game. And Ded, pls, you FREQUENTLY end up with calf cramps, and its due to the fact that u like to do the drag back of the ball, and its very taxing on the calves cos its sudden and at speed. So stretch the calves more, pre game, half time, when ball out of play, etc.. I have nothing to say abt RAihan, man of the match for us. Adil played well also, covered damn well, but sometimes guilty of playing too many short passes when the ground is not up to it, very bouncy in the middle..Zarir, dunnoe lah so fast hamstring strain...before dat was playing well with ahmad..
STRIKERS
HArd to judge Hatta, cos he's sick. But I think sometimes need to drop back and be the link between midfield and ahmad, cos Adil and Raihan may be dropping back to help defend..Otherwise the drifting left is quite effective, but Dedi needs to run inside and waiting for the ball in..
Ahmad....sigh..all the hype abt our deadly striker...but where were the first touches and the back to goal play that we expected? But gameplay wise quite alright, but instead of asking for long balls in, shud ask more for through balls..and sometimes drift right la let hatta and raihan go in center...Otherwise u shud be our target man, so everytime the wingers get the ball ask for the cross and keep a look out for the flick on header to hatta...
OK la guys..dats abt all I can think of now...better rest and do some light jogging, even those with exams...no one says exam cannot keep fit or something..and pls blog ur comments abt the game la..dats what this site is for wat, instead of putting up posters of underage girls supposedly 'scouted'. Come on man, aku search pat google 'hottest hollywood 15 yr old girls' sure come out all the hot ones wat... =P
