Team Report
Esmscc team physios have reported the good news that star player Md Raihan, who has been sidelined due to a recurring knee and metatarsal injury, is almost fully recovered. Spotted at the gym with Esmscc bodybuilder Ashio Cannavaro undergoing rehabilitation exercises, Md Raihan has expressed his desire to help the team recover from its current slump. Physios however warned team manager Arsene Nasz that it might be too soon for the player to resume his full duties on the pitch. Mr Raihan however has dismissed such reports as excessive pessimism and has handed in a formal request for a light friendly match to boost morale and to test his goalscoring abilities. Mr Nasz is understandably delighted with such attitude and a friendly game will be organized soon, possibly this coming Sunday itself.
On another positive note, during the recent pre season training camp at Jalan Pari Burung, off the coast of Simpang Bedok, out of favour left winger Syed Robben Harun has impressed management with his fitness and dangerous forays down the left flank. Syed Robben, who was heavily criticised for his girl-in-headscarf chasing ways, his moonlighting job as a reporter and his inherent political ambitions, has apparently proved his critics wrong by emerging as a better player. Manager Arsene Nasz, renowned for being extremely tolerant, has been duly impressed and has made it known that the player is very much in his first team plans, subject to his commitments.
However the camp ended on a sour note when it was discovered that controversial right back Huzer 'the animal' Boulahrouz has been showing less then desired commitment to the team. Reports has it that the player, known for his late dirty tackles and defying on pitch instructions, has been negligent in taking his fat burning pills as well as being absent for training for the last month. There has been intense speculation that the management is more then unhappy and that the player has been marked for a transfer out of the team. Arsene Nasz, however, who has a reputation for being fiercely loyal and protective of his players, dismissed such reports as nonsense. He emphatically declared "What nonsense. Of course we're not selling him. No one would buy him." Nevertheless the management would be glad to know that the remorseful player is now undergoing an intense salsa programme designed to improve his unsatisfactory turns and reflexes on the pitch.
On the youth side, there has been positive reports from the Esmscc football academy. Scouts have reported that young midfield dynamo Cesc Alimi has impressed in training and may be called to the senior squad. In addition, another young player, simply known as Emmanuel Mamat, has also caught the eye of Esmscc scouts and might be also be considered for a stint with the senior team. Manager Arsene Nasz has made it clear that he is more then happy to blend the youth with the current aging squad.
On the transfer market news, agents have indicated that Apek Team goalkeeper Edwin Van Shengxiang is reportedly disillusioned with the team and is seeking a loan out of the club. Speculation has it that he has indicated an interest to join the Esmscc team. Esmscc manager Arsene Nasz has declared that he is seriously considering making a bid for the player to ease its goalkeeping problems. The manager is fully aware of the allegations of corruption regarding the current keeper, involving packets of unhalal nasi lemak, and in fact has been suspecting it all along. Mr Nasz is keen to move on from such unethical issues and acquiring the services of an established keeper such as Edwin Van Shengxiang would be a tremendous boost for the team.
End of Report.
Manager,
Arsene Nasz.
